Jayant Patil Slams Maharashtra Government Over Farmer Suicides, Crimes Against Women
Senior Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Jayant Patil on Saturday criticised the Maharashtra government over rising farmer suicides and crimes against women, alleging that leaders of the ruling alliance had “earned a PhD in corruption”.
In a statement, Patil said that despite the Bharatiya Janata Party being in power in 17 states, Maharashtra ranked first in the country in both corruption and farmer suicides, while standing second in crimes against women.
Referring to the latest report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), he stated that 3,824 farmers died by suicide in Maharashtra during the past year, placing the state at the top nationally in terms of farmer suicides.
Patil alleged that the government had failed to address the issues faced by farmers and women, despite repeated assurances and schemes. He also accused the ruling alliance of neglecting public welfare while corruption continued to rise.
The remarks have intensified the political confrontation between the opposition and the ruling coalition in Maharashtra ahead of upcoming political developments in the state.
Journey of Combine Education: A Vision Transforming JKBOSE Learning
In an era where digital education is rapidly reshaping the learning landscape, one platform from Jammu & Kashmir has emerged as a trusted companion for thousands of students preparing for JKBOSE examinations. Combine Education, founded by Garab Mahajan, began with a simple yet impactful mission — to make education simple, practical, and accessible for every student.
The Beginning of a Purpose-Driven Journey
The story of Combine Education started not with massive investments or a large institutional setup, but with dedication, consistency, and a strong educational vision. Founder Garab Mahajan believed that education should not feel complicated or unreachable for students, especially those preparing under the JKBOSE system.
According to him:
“Education should not be complicated — it should be clear, practical, and accessible to every student.”
With limited resources and no major infrastructure in place, the platform was built purely on passion for teaching and helping students understand concepts in a relatable manner.
The First Step Towards Digital Learning
Combine Education initially started as a YouTube-based educational platform focusing primarily on:
- JKBOSE Class 10th Social Science
- Class 11th & 12th Political Science
- Board examination strategies
- Important questions and notes
The first long-format educational video was uploaded on 12 October 2023, officially marking the beginning of the platform’s academic journey.
Facing Challenges with Consistency
Like many educational startups, the initial phase was filled with struggles and uncertainty. The platform faced several challenges, including:
- Low initial viewership
- Limited technical and financial resources
- Managing college studies alongside content creation and PCS preparation
- Building trust among students and parents
Despite these hurdles, one factor remained constant — consistency. Regular uploads, student interaction, and exam-focused content gradually helped the platform gain recognition.
Growth Through Student Trust
Over time, students across Jammu and Kashmir began connecting with Combine Education because of its easy teaching methodology and practical exam-oriented approach. The platform focused on simplifying difficult concepts and aligning content directly with JKBOSE requirements.
As the audience grew, Combine Education evolved into a widely followed educational platform with:
- More than 41,000 subscribers
- Over 3 million reach on Instagram
- Thousands of students benefiting across Jammu & Kashmir
Its rise reflects the increasing demand for localized and student-friendly digital education in the region.
Vision for the Future
Today, Combine Education is no longer just a YouTube channel. It is steadily growing into a full-fledged educational brand with ambitious plans for expansion.
The future roadmap includes:
- Covering all major subjects for Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th
- Launching a physical coaching institute
- Providing study material, notes, PDFs, and educational posters
- Expanding into podcasts and Jammu & Kashmir political discussions through the “RAAJ” series
Core Philosophy
At the heart of Combine Education lies a simple philosophy:
- Education should be affordable
- Learning should be simple
- Every student deserves quality guidance
Conclusion
The journey of Combine Education stands as an inspiring example of how vision and consistency can create meaningful impact, even without large resources or institutional backing.
From uploading a single educational video to becoming a trusted learning platform for thousands of students, Combine Education continues to prove that determination and purpose can transform education at the grassroots level.
As the platform expands further, its story remains a reminder that every big movement begins with a small but courageous first step.
