ADDC unfurls Tricolour; urges public to ensure maximum participation to make the occasion a grand & successful event
Rajouri, August13: Full dress rehearsal was held on saturday ahead of Independence Day celebrations in Rajouri.
The event was held under the overall supervision of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal at District Police Line Rajouri where Additional District Development Commissioner, Pawan Kumar hoisted the National Flag and took salute from the contingents.
The contingents including Police band, CRPF, IRP, JKP, FPF, NCC school squads took part in the parade.The ADDC inspected the parade and observed the band drill,contingents March Past and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for smooth celebrations of I-Day.
In his address, ADDC highlighted the various achievements registered by different departments in the district during the current financial year.
He also called upon the people to maintain peace and communal harmony to facilitate all-round development of the district.
He also appealed to the public to celebrate Har Ghar Tiranga campaign with patriotic spirit by hoisting tricolour on their houses.
ADDC also expressed condolence on the death of the Jawans who died in Darhal encounter with militants
