Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar chaired a high-level meeting at Vidhana Soudha to review preparations for the recruitment of over 70,000 government posts across Karnataka. With nearly 35 lakh candidates expected to appear for the upcoming KPSC and KEA examinations, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for complete transparency and professionalism throughout the recruitment process.

Shri Shivakumar directed officials to implement strict measures to ensure integrity. Every stage of the examination process will be video recorded. Additionally, coaching centres will remain under close police surveillance, and no staff member involved in the examination process will be allowed to carry mobile phones. This approach aims to eliminate any potential for malpractice.

Accountability is key in this initiative. Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, and Education Department officials will be held directly responsible for any lapses that occur during the recruitment process. This ensures that everyone involved is committed to maintaining high standards.

To further strengthen transparency and efficiency, the Government has established a Competitive Examinations and Recruitment Reform Committee. This committee will be chaired by Shri S. V. Ranganath and includes members like Shri T. M. Vijayabhaskar, Smt. Vandita Sharma, and Shri L. K. Atheeq. Their role is to recommend comprehensive reforms in competitive examinations and recruitment.

The Chief Minister reiterated Karnataka’s commitment to setting a national benchmark for fair and credible recruitment. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that every deserving candidate has complete faith in the system. With these measures in place, Karnataka is taking significant steps toward a more transparent and accountable recruitment process.
