Srinagar hosts G20 Tourism Working Group meeting to counter Pakistan’s negative propaganda

Kashmir, Apr 24 : India is set to host the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar, which aims to showcase the region’s potential as a tourist destination and combat Pakistan’s negative narrative, according to Asian Lite International. Despite opposition from Pakistan and China, India has decided to push through with the event to refute the former’s false allegations of human rights violations in the Kashmir Valley. The meeting is expected to boost tourism, generate employment opportunities, and make the region a stable destination for investment. This marks the first major international gathering to take place in the region since its bifurcation into two Union Territories and abolition of its distinct legal status in August 2019. The event is an opportunity for India to demonstrate the region’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
