BJP regime humiliated dogras by demoting J&K State to UT: Harsh Dev
Samba, 18-11-2022: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organized a massive rally in Samba today to draw the attention of the govt towards the basic problems faced by the common masses who were suffering due to their gross neglect at the hands of an apathetic and indifferent administration. The AAP workers took out a massive rally which started from Vijaypur and culminated at Samba where the gathering was addressed by several Party leaders including Ex-Ministers Mr. Harsh Dev Singh and Mr. Yash Paul Kundal besides other senior Party leaders. The rally was organized by AAP District President Samba Mr. Lovelu Sambyal.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh who was the Chief Guest on the occasion said that J&K had suffered socially, politically and economically after its re-organization and division into two union territories. “With J&K having been divested of its statehood status, the trade, tourism and economy of the erstwhile princely dogra state of the country has been adversely impacted. While the economy fast dissipated and the development scenario witnessed a downward slide, the ever growing unemployment seemed to be the only notable feature of the saffron rule. The past few years witnessed massive public uprisings against the anti Jammu and anti people policies of the ruling dispensation which continued to be suppressed through iron fist of police and civil administration. Taking repeated somersaults on almost all its professed promises, the narcissistically pleased and power intoxicated BJP continued to use the coercive apparatus of state to silence all those who dared raise their voice for justice and sought fulfilment of promises made by it during elections. Rather than honouring the commitments made by it during last polls, it was trying to crush the dissenting voices by causing dissensions in and breaking the opposition parties. Describing the BJP’s handling of dissent and disquiet as oppressively bizarre, undemocratic and morally sinister, Mr. Singh appealed to the people not to succumb before the machiavellian designs of the power hungry rulers. He assured that AAP would stand with people through thick and thin and continue to expose and oppose the BJP for its political debauchery and subterfuge”, roared Mr. Singh.

Addressing the huge gathering, Mr. Harsh Dev lambasted the BJP for having done the greatest disservice to J&K by demoting it to the level of UT. It has humiliated the dogras by dismantling the oldest dogra state. The extension of several draconian laws after abrogation of Art 370 including opening of lands and jobs to outsiders had in particular, come as a rude shocker for the people of J&K. The unemployed youth of Jammu region have been the most disappointed lot with their share in services have been abysmally reduced. The Daily wagers, the contractuals, the underemployed have all felt cheated in the BJP regime.

Mr. Yash Paul Kundal alleged that a deep rooted culture of corruption was prevalent in the UT, wherein the vigilante organizations needed to keep a close watch over the functioning of various Deptts particularly PHE, Education, PWD, Power, CAPD and RDD. He said that the lackadaisical approach of the concerned authorities was responsible for the power and drinking water crisis in the majority of the rural areas. He called for early construction of works taken up under the languishing projects scheme. He sought early clearances of liabilities and other work done claims of contractors and mates pending for the last 2-3 years in PWD, PHE, PDD etc. He sought immediate release of compensation to the farmers whose lands and other structures were acquired for construction of PMGSY roads. He regretted that there were no takers for the sufferings of the people with corrupt officers enjoying full patronage of the political bosses.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Lovelu Sambyal, Rajesh Padgotra, Basharat Ali, Om Parkash Attri, Raj Mohd Salaria, Narayan Dass, Rakesh Singh, Appu Singh and Mrs. Manju Singh besides others.

India’s pvt sector rocket makes successful beginning with Skyroot’s Vikram-S
India’s rocket startup Skyroot Aerospace on Friday successfully began its space journey with its rocket Vikram-S and wrote a new chapter in the country’s space history pages.
Weighing 545 kg, the six-metre-long rocket on a sub-orbital mission carried three payloads from Space Kidz India, Bazoomq Armenia, and N-Space Tech India.
The rocket was made with carbon fibre and four 3D printed engines and its single stage was powered by solid fuel.
At about 11.30 a.m., Vikram-S flew away from ISRO’s sounding rocket launch pad at ISRO’s rocket port in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
The rocket reached an altitude of 89.5 km and then safely splashed down in the Bay of Bengal.
In about 300 seconds, a new space history was made in India.
The mission will help validate the technologies that will be used in the subsequent Vikram-1 orbital vehicle of Skyroot Aerospace that is planned for launch next year.
Union Science & Technology Minister Jitendra Singh who witnessed the launch here said it is indeed a new beginning, a new dawn, a new ‘Prarambh’ in Indian space programme.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decision to open up the space sector for private participation, Singh said: “It is a turning point in the Indian startup movement.”
He also congratulated Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for adding one more feather in its cap.
The Chairman of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) Pawan Goenka said the rocket mission was successful.
The rocket reached an altitude of 89.5 km and a range of 121.2 km.
Goenka said all the systems had worked as planned and congratulated the Skyroot Aerospace team.
Skyroot Aerospace’s CEO and Co-Founder Pawan Kumar Chandana said the mission’s objectives have been achieved and dedicated the mission to the late Vikram Sarabhai, father of the Indian space sector.
With this a new chapter in the annals of Indian space history has begun and also the end of ISRO monopoly in the satellite launch segment.
Incidentally, it is ISRO that is actively assisting the private players in ending its own monopoly offering its facilities for testing as well as for launching the rockets and satellites.
The fee charged by ISRO for the rocket launch and tracking services is reasonable, Chandana said.
He said the ISRO provides integration facility, launchpad, range communications and tracking support before and during our rocket launch.
Terrorism should not be linked to any religion, says Amit Shah
NEW DELHI, Nov 18: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Friday said financing of terrorism is more dangerous than terrorism the threat of which cannot and should not be linked to any religion, nationality or group.
He also said that terrorists are constantly finding new ways to carry out violence, radicalise youth and raise financial resources and the darknet is being used by terrorists to spread radical content and conceal their identities.
“Terrorism is, undoubtedly, the most serious threat to global peace and security. But I believe that the financing of terrorism is more dangerous than terrorism itself because the ‘means and methods’ of terrorism are nurtured from such funding.
“Furthermore, financing of terrorism weakens the economy of countries of the world,” Shah said addressing the third ‘No Money for Terror Ministerial Conference on Counter-Terrorism Financing’ hosted by the Ministry of Home Affairs here.
He said, “we also recognise that the threat of terrorism cannot and should not be linked to any religion, nationality, or group”.
“To confront terrorism, we have made significant progress in fortifying the security architecture, as well as the legal and financial systems,” the Union home minister said.
In a veiled attack on Pakistan, Shah said there are countries that “seek to undermine or even hinder, our collective resolve to fight terrorism”.
“We have seen that some countries protect and shelter terrorists, protecting a terrorist is equivalent to promoting terrorism. It will be our collective responsibility that such elements never succeed in their intentions,” he said. (Agencies)
