DAP “Vinaashakaale Vipareeta budhhi” says NDPI chief
Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) chief Rajesh Gupta on Tuesday said the doors of his party are open for secular-minded people and closed for those with a communal mindset.
He termed the Democratic Azad Party headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad branch of the BJP and claimed it is “collapsing under its own weight”.
NDPI leader said, (Vinaasha kaale Vipareeta budhhi) “when the time of one’s destruction comes, his or her mind thinks the opposite of what it should”.
Gupta also extended support to the Kashmiri Pandit migrant employees and Jammu-based reserved category staffers who are on protest strike here since May demanding relocation outside the Valley following targeted killings by terrorists. “The Democratic Azad Party headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad is a branch of the BJP but those who have gone there from the Congress are secular-minded people. NDPI president said the voters were swayed by pro-Jammu rhetoric and several glamorous slogans given by the saffron leadership to woo the masses. The gullibility of the Dogras was exploited to the full to attain the high seats of power. The spell bound people blindly reposed their faith in the BJP giving it a landslide victory from Jammu region in assembly seats as well as the parliamentary elections, he said. “Not only that, the people of the region continued to vote heavily in favour of BJP in the municipal and DDC elections as well under the hope and belief that BJP leadership would fulfill its promises sooner than later. The situation as of now has invariably grown from bad to worse under central BJP dispensation with the Jammu region having been deprived of even its nominal share in the recent past,” said Gupta.
The Jammu and Kashmir NDPI chief accused the BJP of “using the plight of Kashmiri pandits across the country to garner votes”. He added “Instead of sympathizing with them and resolving their issues, the government is harassing them and threatening to stop their salaries.“While in opposition, the BJP always forcefully raised the issue of security of Kashmiri Pandits and other minorities in Kashmir. But since 2014 they did nothing and are only shedding crocodile tears for them,” Gupta claimed.NDPI leader said the party workers will not hesitate to join the migrant Kashmiri Pandit employees in their protest.

Mumbai 27 Dec: Chief Operating Officer Flock Entertainment OTT Irfan Marazi on Tuesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for opening Kashmir to the entertainment market.

Irfan said, After the removal of Article 370, “Armaan” web series is the first web series to be completely produced in Kashmir, in which Kashmiri actors and Kashmiri colleagues have supported wholeheartedly.

“Successfully producing this web series would have been impossible without the help and leadership of the Modi government, Irfan said- adding the media and entertainment (M&E) industry is estimated at INR 126k cr (US$ 19.4 bn) this makes the sector larger than India’s consumer durables and online retail industries. While keeping this in mind “ I firmly believe the M&E sectors can be developed in the UT of J&k which can have a windfall effect on the direct & indirect employment and GDP of the UT itself”

The web series shot in Wadi-e-Kashmir, which is in the headlines all the time, is named “Armaan.” A romantic thriller that touches upon every aspect of love, marriage, and betrayal. From Chashm-e-Shahi to Dal Lake, Armaan web series has been shot on location in Wadi-e-Kashmir.

Pertain to mention here,  Zarina Wahab and Ashmit Patel will be seen playing the lead characters in “Armaan” web series.

“All Kashmiri artists believe that without the help of the Modi led Government, it would have been impossible to do anything in Kashmir in the direction of entertainment,” he further said. Adding

“Flock is not stopping at a new web series for Kashmiris but also presenting international cinema dubbed in Kashmiri to them. These days, Flock OTT is also doing special work on Urdu and Punjabi web series, which will soon be in the public domain,” Irfan further said.

CEO of Flock OTT, Preeti Kumeria, believes that without the help of the people of Kashmir, and support of local administration this web series could not have been made.

“The support of the Kashmir administration was very important for this web series, and their cooperation is incomparable. As beautiful as Wadi-e-Kashmir is, equally beautiful are the people there and their understanding,” Kumeria explained.

“Kashmiri Youth is very talented, and should be exposed to everyone at any cost,” said Flock OTT MD and eminent actor Vijayendra Kumeria adding he said that through this web series “Armaan” many Kashmiri artists and the hidden art of Kashmir will come to the limelight.

‘Kattar papi parivar’: BJP’s latest charge against Robert Vadra over Rajasthan land scam

0

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday called the Gandhi family a “Kattar Papi Parivar” of India while accusing their son-in-law Robert Vadra of land grabbing in Rajasthan.

Addressing a press conference, BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia claimed that the Congress government in Rajasthan between 2008-13, grabbed 125 bighas of land from farmers. Accusing the Gandhi family of being embroiled in corruption and helping Robert Vadra in grabbing land from farmers in Rajasthan, Bhatia used the phrase “Kattar Papi Parivar”, which would mean a “hardcore corrupt family.”

“There is a ‘Kattar Papi Parivar’ in India. Their work is to grab the land of farmers and hand it over to their son-in-law Robert Vadra. During the Congress government in Rajasthan from 2008-13, 125 bighas of land were bought from farmers and allotted to two people Hariram and Natharam,” said Bhatia.

He further said that when the BJP government came to power in Rajasthan, an FIR was registered.
“When the police and ED investigated the case, it was found that both these persons do not exist and are fictitious,” he said.

Bhatia said that the land in question was later sold to Skyline Hospitality in which Robert Vadra and his mother are partners.
“Corrupt Gandhi family thinks, it is beyond the reach of law but no one can escape PM Modi’s honesty and probe agency’s dedication,” he said.
The BJP leader also claimed that even when the Congress government was in Haryana, the land of the farmers was grabbed.

Gaurav Bhatia had earlier highlighted the corruption charges against the Gandhi family in the National Herald Money laundering case.
While referring to the corruption probe against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul, both former Congress presidents, in the National Herald case, Bhatia said, “They are the most corrupt family in Indian politics. Three members of the family are out on bail in corruption cases. It is a serious matter of concern for a government with zero tolerance for corruption.”

Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and other senior Congress leaders such as current national party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Pawan Bansal were earlier questioned by the Enforcement Directorate over the last few months in the National Herald money laundering case.

The National Herald case pertains to the alleged financial irregularities under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and was registered about nine months ago after a trial court took cognisance of an Income Tax department probe carried out on the basis of a private criminal complaint filed by former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Subramanian Swamy in 2013, who had alleged that the Gandhis cheated and misappropriated funds, with YIL paying only Rs 50 lakh to obtain the right to recover Rs 90.25 crore that AJL owed to Congress.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting on Monday to review the status and preparedness of public health response to COVID-19 and emphasised the need for strengthened surveillance with a focus on genome sequencing and increased testing.

This high-level review meeting comes against the backdrop of a spike in COVID-19 cases in some countries, including China, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

PM Modi assessed the COVID-19 situation in the country, the preparedness of health infrastructure and logistics and the status of the vaccination campaign in the country. He also evaluated the emergence of new Covid-19 variants and their public health implications.

Dr. Farooq, Omar, Mehbooba others joining Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress Gen Sec, KC Venugopal

0

Srinagar, Dec 27: Member of Parliament and Secretary General Indian National Congress, KC Venugopal on Tuesday said that all prominent leaders including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and others have expressed their willingness to participate in Bharat Jodo Yatra, being carried out by Congress to “unite the countrymen against the divisive politics of BJP and Sangh Parivar.”

“Certainly I am very much happy to say that leaders like Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and others are joing Bharat Jodo Yatra in J&K”, Venugopal, as reported by KNS, told media persons here.

He said like minded people and parties across India have expressed their will to join BJY and added, “The impact of yatra is increasing with the passing of each day which vindicates that people of the country want secular ethics intact within the country”.

Venugopal said the yatra is aimed to send a clear and loud message to divisive forces like BJP and Sangh Parivar who caused a massive damage to country and it’s constitution.

To a query, the Congress MP said the yatra in J&K will tentatively take place on 22 – 23 January 2023.

He added the government is trying to instill fear in the minds of people about new variant of Covid virus which however seems a “drama” to stop Rahul Gandhi from furthering the Yatra. “When flights are coming from China uninterruptedly. When there is no protocol set for arriving passengers, so why government is creating drama in the name of Covid19. This seems the government is trying to stop our yatra”, he added.

“If government will frame SOPs in general to avoid any untoward, we will have no hesitation to abide the directions”, Venugopal maintained.
