New Delhi, May 6: In the recent board exams conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), girls emerged as the top performers in both class 10 and 12, according to the results announced on Monday morning. With a pass percentage of 99.47%, the class 10 exams saw commendable success, while 98.19% of students cleared the class 12 exams, as confirmed by a CISCE official.
CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary Joseph Emmanuel revealed, “In class 10, the pass percentage of boys is 99.31% while that of girls is 99.65%. Similarly, boys have achieved a pass percentage of 97.53% in class 12 exams, while the pass percentage of girls stood at 98.92%.”
The top-performing schools abroad in class 10 are from Indonesia, Singapore, and Dubai, all boasting a 100% pass percentage. In class 12, the best-performing schools hail from Singapore and Dubai.
The ICSE examination (class 10) covered 60 written subjects, including 20 Indian languages, 13 foreign languages, and one classical language. Exams commenced on February 21 and concluded on March 28, spanning over 18 days.
On the other hand, the ISC examination (class 12) comprised 47 written subjects, incorporating 12 Indian languages, four foreign languages, and two classical languages. The exams for ISC began on February 12 and wrapped up on April 4, spanning over 28 days.
