New Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing an election rally in Huzurabad, claimed a prevailing sense of “anger” against the ruling BRS in Telangana, asserting that the people are opposed to the return of the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led dispensation to power. Shah, while campaigning in Telangana, emphasized the dissatisfaction with the BRS government, stating that the public is unwilling to see the KCR government back in control.
In his address, Shah criticized both the BRS and Congress for their ‘parivarvaad’ (dynasty) rule, highlighting that if the people elect BJP, the chief minister will be chosen from the BC category. He contrasted this with the BRS or Congress, where the CM would be from a specific family. Shah announced the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to appoint a BC as the chief minister in Telangana, calling for the end of the BRS reign and symbolic retirement of their party symbol.
Posing questions to the crowd, Shah asked whether the KCR government should be changed on November 30 and whether a chief minister from the Backward Caste should be appointed. He emphasized that electing the BJP is crucial for removing the BRS government.
Shah reiterated his claim of a deal between the ruling BRS and Congress, alleging that KCR would facilitate Rahul Gandhi’s ascent to prime ministership. He asserted that the prime minister’s post is not vacant, with Narendra Modi expected to continue in the role in 2024.
Accusing Congress MLAs of joining the BRS, Shah asserted that voting for Congress translates to supporting BRS and corruption. He criticized the Congress, BRS, and AIMIM, led by Asaduddin Owaisi, as dynastic parties, alleging their involvement in corruption. Shah also accused these parties of minority appeasement.
Highlighting developmental works by the Modi government in Telangana, Shah emphasized the Telangana BJP’s manifesto, which includes appointing a backward caste leader as the chief minister, reducing VAT on fuel prices, and ensuring free darshan at the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Shah appealed to the people to ensure a massive victory for sitting MLA Eatala Rajender in the Huzurabad constituency, who is also contesting against KCR in the Gajwel constituency. Shah commended Rajender for opposing corruption and ‘parivarvaad,’ expressing that KCR made him a victim due to these stances. Rajender, formerly a senior BRS leader, was removed from the State Cabinet over allegations of land-grabbing, joined the BJP, and won a by-election.
