New Delhi, August 8: Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, reaffirmed on Monday that the Delhi Services Bill is entirely aligned with the Supreme Court’s ruling and has been formulated to establish a corruption-free administration in Delhi. He emphasized that the power vested in the Central government does not stem from taking authority away, but rather from the mandate of the 1.3 billion citizens.
During his address in the Rajya Sabha concerning the Delhi Services Bill, Shah stated, “The Delhi Services Bill in no way violates the Supreme Court judgement.”
Responding to the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 in the Rajya Sabha, Shah underscored that the primary goal is to foster an administration devoid of corruption in Delhi.
Furthermore, the Home Minister elaborated that following India’s independence, an Assembly was bestowed upon Delhi.
