The clash was triggered when a group of young men obstructed the VHP’s ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra’ near Khedla Mod in Nuh. In response, violence erupted as stones were pelted at the procession, leading to confrontations between the two groups. In an effort to restore peace and order, the Haryana police have registered 11 first information reports (FIRs) and detained 27 individuals believed to be involved in the rioting. The police are conducting thorough investigations, analyzing videos and footage to identify the culprits responsible for the mayhem. Additional paramilitary forces, including 13 companies stationed in Nuh and six more to be deployed soon, have been called in to maintain law and order.
The impact of the violence extended beyond Nuh death toll , spilling over to the adjoining Gurugram district, where a religious building in Sector 57 was set ablaze. Tragically, one person lost their life, and another was injured in the ensuing chaos. The authorities have promptly initiated an investigation into this incident as well.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has expressed his deep concern over the violence and called for restraint and dialogue.
