TWO NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLERS OF THATHRI BOOKED UNDER PREVENTIVE CUSTODY AND LODGED IN DISTRICT JAIL BHADERWAH

Continuing its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers, Doda Police has booked two notorious drug peddlers and lodged them in District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive custody.
Giving details, Police said that a number of complaints were being received at Police Station Thathri against (1) Umesh Kumar son of Bishamber Lal resident of Barshalla Tehsil Thathri and (2) Khalid Rehman son of Abdul Rehman resident of Phagsoo A/P Thathri for their involvement in drug peddling and also alluring the young generation to consume as well as supply drugs besides getting other youth involved in drug addiction. Acting upon this alarming information, Police swung into action and a detailed report regarding their involvement in drugs as well as involving other youth was prepared by Police and a Police party led by Inspector, Amrit Katoch, SHO PS Thathri apprehended and produced them before the Executive Magistrate Class 1st Thathri where from they were sent to District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
Doda Police is appealing the general public to extend co-operation to Police and provide inputs/information if any clue of drugs smuggling is noticed so that stringent action is taken against the drug peddlers and menace of drug is eradicated from the society.
