Department of Persian, GDC Rajouri, Successfully Completes 15-Day Internship Program at Kashmir University
9 students from the 5th semester gain hands-on experience as part of the mandatory internship under NEP 2020.

The Department of Persian at Government Degree College (GDC) Rajouri proudly announces the successful completion of a 15-day internship program by 9 students from the 5th semester at Kashmir University. This internship program, which is a requirement under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, was aimed at providing students with practical exposure to the field of Persian studies and enhancing their academic and professional capabilities.
During the internship, held from 05/10/2024 to 19/10/2024, the students participated in a wide range of activities, including academic workshops, research projects, and interactive sessions with renowned scholars at Kashmir University. This hands-on experience is a vital step in fulfilling the NEP 2020’s focus on practical learning and interdisciplinary education.
Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Head of the Department of Persian at GDC Rajouri, expressed pride in the students’ achievements and emphasized the importance of such programs in broadening academic horizons. “This internship is a milestone for our students as it aligns with the vision of NEP 2020 to integrate classroom learning with practical exposure. We are thankful to Kashmir University for their collaboration and support throughout this program,” said Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed.
The students gained valuable insights into Persian language and literature through seminars, cultural exchanges, and research guidance offered during the internship. They also had the opportunity to interact with experts in the field, which has significantly enriched their understanding of Persian studies and its contemporary relevance.
