New Delhi, Apr 24 : Starting today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a two-day visit to various parts of the country to launch multiple developmental programmes. His journey will begin in Madhya Pradesh, where he will attend National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations in Rewa, laying the foundation stone and inaugurating projects worth approximately Rs 17,000 crore. During the event, PM Modi will also address all the Gram Sabhas and Panchayati Raj Institutions across the nation.
Moreover, the Prime Minister will inaugurate an integrated eGramSwaraj and GeM portal for public procurement at the Panchayat level, enabling Panchayats to procure their goods and services through GeM using the eGramSwaraj platform. He will also distribute around 35 lakh SVAMITVA Property Cards to beneficiaries, taking the total number of distributed cards under the SVAMITVA Scheme to around 1.25 crore.
Additionally, PM Modi will participate in a programme marking the ‘Griha Pravesh’ of over 4 lakh beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin, furthering the goal of achieving ‘Housing for All’. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various railway projects worth approximately Rs 2300 crore, including 100% rail electrification in Madhya Pradesh, along with various doubling, gauge conversion and electrification projects. He will also lay the foundation stone of the redevelopment of Gwalior station and projects worth about Rs 7,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Later, PM Modi will travel from Khajuraho to Kochi, participating in the Yuvam Conclave. The following morning, he will travel from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram, flagging off Vande Bharat Express, and dedicating and laying the foundation stone of various projects. He will then visit Silvassa via Surat, where he will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various projects, including NAMO medical college.
The Prime Minister will also travel to Daman for the inauguration of Devka seafront, then to Surat before returning to Delhi, covering an aerial distance of around 5,300 kilometres.
