Aspirants of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services have requested that the upper age limit for the exam be relaxed in line with other states. The students claim that they are at a disadvantage due to the lack of relaxation in the age limit, which is fixed at 32 years for general category candidates, as compared to other states where it is often 35 or 37 years. They have appealed to the authorities to consider their plea, as it would increase their chances of employment and open up opportunities for them.
The aspirants have urged the government to take their demand into account and provide them with a level playing field.
