JAMMU: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital in association with Shri Mal Mata Sukrala Devi Dharmik Trust and Gau Raksha Samiti, Jammu and Kashmir, organised free Ortho Camp in the premises of Gau Shalla, Amphalla, Jammu.
On the occasion, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor Jammu was the Chief Guest who inaugurated the free medical camp.
Raj Kumar Gupta, President Jammu Kashmir Gau Raksha Samiti, Tript Shastri Chairman Shri Mal Mata Sukrala Devi Dharmik Trust, Jatin Langer Vice President of the Trust, Shubham Langer General Secretary, Vimal Mehra Media In-charge, Tejinder Singh and other members of the Trust were present.
Dr Vikas Padha, Senior Joint Replacement Surgeon & Senior Consultant Orthopaedics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital, examined patients and conducted various tests including Bone Density Test and X-rays free of costs. Around 150 patients were examined in the camp today and free medicines were also distributed.

Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that in the present scenario it was extremely tough for the patients from middle and lower income group families to get medical aid and medicines. He complimented Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital, Shri Mal Mata Sukrala Devi Dharmik Trust and Gau Raksha Samiti for organising camp and hoped such a missionary spirit will inspire others for arranging free medical camps in various other disciplines in the area. He said access of people to quality and affordable health care services is a welcome step.
Raj Kumar Gupta, President Jammu Kashmir Gau Raksha Samiti said healthcare services nowadays are not affordable for everyone living in the society and underprivileged people are deprived of this basic right. We believe access to good healthcare is a basic right of every individual and these initiatives’ are the real efforts towards serving mankind, he said, encouraging people to be health conscious to become better citizens and help the country and growing further.
Tript Shastri, Chairman Shri Mal Mata Sukrala Devi Dharmik Trust, said that keeping in view the present scenario, the camp has been organized where hundreds of people have visited and got themselves checked. He said that several aliments are still in existence and everyone must be cautious about everything.
