Shab-e-Baraat observed across Chenab region

Bhadarwah:Like other parts of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Shab-e-Baraat was observed with religious gaiety and fervour across Chenab region.

Night-long vigil and prayers were held last night across all major masjids and Shrines of Ramban, Doda, Bhadarwah and Kishtwar. 

A huge number of devotees offered night-long prayers at different Shrines including Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani RA also known as Dargah Peer Dastageer Sahib Krawa Banihal, Hazrat Shah Farid-ud-Din Bagdadi RA Kishtwar, Astana Bala Kishtwar, Markazi Jamia Masjid Bhadarwah, Sarafan Masjid Bhadarwah, Jamia Masjids Doda, Ramban, Gandoh and Kishtwar to seek Allah’s blessings and forgiveness.

The holy night of Shab-e-Baraat is observed by Muslims during the intervening night of 14 and 15 Sha’ban— the eighth month of the Islamic calendar.

Imam Peer Dastageer Sahib shrine Krawa, Mukhtyar Attari said that night long special prayers were held at the shrine.

Eshaa prayers were held at 10:30 pm and during sermons, special focus was given to highlight the importance of this night.

The program started soon after Maghrib prayers and went on throughout the night. People prayed for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile special arrangements were made by the respective managements for the night-long prayers.

Devotees also expressed their gratitude to Administration and police for foolproof arrangements on the eve of Shab-e-Barat.
