Leh: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Vinai Kumar Saxena has notified the draft Ladakh District Mineral Foundation (Trust) Rules, 2026, aimed at strengthening welfare and sustainable development initiatives for communities affected by mining activities across the Union Territory.

The proposed rules are focused on ensuring better utilization of funds generated through mining activities for the benefit of local residents and affected areas.

The framework aims to support development projects, improve basic infrastructure, and promote sustainable growth while maintaining a balance between resource utilization and community welfare.
