Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday launched a national Improvised Explosive Device (IED) data management platform developed by the counter-terrorist commando force National Security Guard (NSG).
The Home Minister inaugurated the facility through a video conferencing link connecting to the platform housed at the NSG garrison in Manesar.
The platform will collect, collate and analyse IED-related data from across the country and disseminate critical inputs to various security and law enforcement agencies. Officials said the AI-enabled database is designed to identify “signature linkages” between different bomb blast incidents, helping agencies detect patterns, link cases and strengthen preventive and investigative capabilities.
The initiative is expected to significantly enhance India’s counter-terror and security preparedness by enabling data-driven analysis and faster intelligence sharing among agencies.
