Tejashwi Yadav addressing media about INDIA bloc manifesto

Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), announced on Tuesday that the INDIA bloc’s poll manifesto will act as a vision document aiming to elevate Bihar to the status of the number one state in India. Yadav made these remarks to reporters ahead of the manifesto’s release, emphasizing that it represents a concrete roadmap for growth.

Yadav termed the document as the ‘Tejashwi Pran Patra’, or Tejashwi’s Resolution Document, underscoring the detailed plans to drive Bihar’s development. “We have a vision for the state,” he said, expressing confidence in the policies laid out in the manifesto.

The opposition coalition’s manifesto is slated to be unveiled later today. With this strategic move, Yadav aims to solidify the INDIA bloc’s commitment to the voters of Bihar.

In a direct critique of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Yadav highlighted that the current ruling coalition has yet to announce its candidate for chief minister or reveal its own manifesto. “We have announced our CM face and are releasing our manifesto today,” he asserted. “What about the NDA? They have neither declared their CM candidate nor released their manifesto. They simply copy our promises,” he added, reflecting frustration over the NDA’s lack of transparency.

Yadav did not hold back in his criticism of prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He accused them of not delivering significant progress for Bihar, suggesting that Modi’s visits to the state lack substance. “Whenever the PM comes to Bihar, he only insults opposition leaders and engages in negative politics,” Yadav charged.

As the political landscape heats up, the 243-member Bihar Assembly is set for elections in two phases on November 6 and November 11. Counting of votes will take place on November 14, with results eagerly anticipated by both voters and candidates.

Through the INDIA bloc’s manifesto, Yadav and his allies aim to present a unified front and a clear alternative to the ruling government. This initiative comes at a critical time as Bihar grapples with various socio-economic challenges. As the election dates draw near, the focus on political promises and accountability intensifies, with the Bihar electorate poised to make pivotal decisions.
