Jammu and Kashmir Forms Committee for Recruitment Rules System

The Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted a high-level committee on Thursday to develop a Single Window System aimed at streamlining the processing of Recruitment Rules. This initiative seeks to enhance efficiency in handling recruitment norms across various departments.

An official order from the General Administration Department (GAD-JK) outlines the formation of this committee, appointing the Principal Secretary of the Public Works (R&B) Department as its Chairman. The committee comprises several key officials, including the Commissioner/Secretary of the General Administration Department, the Secretary of the School Education Department, the Secretary of the Information Technology Department, and the Secretary of the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

Additionally, members from the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board, all holding ranks no lower than Additional Secretaries, will also be part of the committee. The Chairman retains the authority to invite other members as deemed necessary.

The committee’s primary task involves finalizing the digitization of Recruitment Rules, aligning its processes with the efficient “Delhi Model”. This model aims to expedite the recruitment process through systematic integration. The committee will also collaborate with BISAG-N, designated as the digital partner, to ensure a seamless integration of technology.

This initiative reflects the Jammu and Kashmir government’s commitment to improving operational efficiency in public recruitment. By establishing a Single Window System, officials hope to simplify bureaucratic hurdles and accelerate the recruitment process for various government positions.

The ARI & Trainings Department will provide necessary support to the committee, ensuring that its objectives align with the broader goals of enhancing government services and accountability.

As recruitment processes often face scrutiny regarding their transparency and efficiency, this committee’s formation signals a proactive approach by the Jammu and Kashmir government. By adopting digital solutions, the aim is to foster a more responsive and transparent system that meets the needs of job seekers in the region.
