To mark the beginning of 8th Rashtriya POSHAN MAAH 2025, a Special Program was organised by Poshan Project Kot Bhalwal in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre & Govt Ayurvedic Hospital. The main themes in the event involved Addressing Obesity, Vocal for Local, Convergent Actions & Digitization, Infant Young Child Feeding Practices, Men – Streaming and at last Poshan Bhi Padai Bhi.
The program was inaugurated by Sh. Sher Singh Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu in presence of Special Guest Swami Yajnadharananda Ji (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission) & Sh. Pankaj Anand (District Programme Officer Mission POSHAN Jammu).
Many activities like Speeches from experts, Swasth Balak Pratiyogita, Rangoli making including installation of Nutrition cum awareness stalls, Health Checkup cum free distribution of medicines etc conducted during the program.
On the occasion, Sh. Sher Singh emphasized the importance of right nutrition especially among target beneficiaries like children, pregnant and lactating women/ mothers. Sh. Pankaj Anand also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of this month-long Poshan Maah to spread vide awareness and seek involvement of community at large for ensuring better health for all.
Swami Yajnadharananda Ji also delivered a key note address highlighting the spiritual and social significance of health, nutrition and holistic living and committed to be a part of such awareness program in future also.
Sh. Mohit Bharti CDPO Kot Bhalwal gave a vote of thanks and appreciated the voluntary involvement of Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre Govt Ayurvedic Hospital to promote the theme of Eat Right for a Healthy Life. He also thanked Swami Vijayeshananda Ji stressed for close coordination and assistance to make the event a success besides hoped that the participants shall take forward real aim of Poshan Maah to spread awareness about healthy habits among all.

During the camp, participants received free consultations, Ayurvedic health guidance, and awareness sessions on nutrition, preventive health, and sustainable well-being.
