Modi Accuses Congress of Plotting for Separate Kashmir Constitution, Praises BJP’s Progress in Maharashtra

PM Modi’s Strong Words on Kashmir and Maharashtra’s Progress

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nov 14, 2024 — In a fiery speech during his rally in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress party and its allies of conspiring to restore Article 370 and introduce a separate Constitution for Kashmir.

Kashmir and Congress’ Alleged Scheme

Modi strongly asserted that Kashmir is an integral part of India and criticized the Congress for allegedly working towards its separation. He questioned whether the people of Maharashtra would support a party that “speaks the language of Pakistan” and emphasized that every Indian desires Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution to be followed in Kashmir. The Prime Minister reiterated that the BJP government would not allow any compromise on Kashmir’s status as a part of India.

Renaming of Aurangabad: A Victory for Marathi Pride

Modi took the opportunity to highlight the renaming of Aurangabad to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a decision he credited to the BJP-led Mahayuti government. He mentioned that the demand to rename the city was first raised by Bal Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena, and claimed that the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government did not have the courage to take action due to Congress’ opposition.

Modi further claimed that the MVA government failed to act on the issue during its tenure, citing that it had lacked the resolve to rename the city under pressure from the Congress.

A Battle of Ideologies in the Maharashtra Elections

Modi framed the Maharashtra assembly elections as a battle between patriots who respect Sambhaji Maharaj and others who admire Aurangzeb, a Mughal emperor known for his persecution of Hindus. He urged the people of Maharashtra to choose the BJP and its allies, highlighting the progress brought about by the BJP-Mahayuti alliance.

Economic Progress and Marathi Pride

Modi also took credit for the BJP’s efforts to give Marathi the status of a classical language, a demand that had been pending for decades. Additionally, he pointed to the record Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Maharashtra had received under the Mahayuti government and how it had benefited the state’s economy.

“Maharashtra has attracted the maximum FDI after the formation of the Mahayuti government. The people have benefited due to the investment,” Modi stated.

Conclusion: BJP’s Vision for Maharashtra’s Future

In his closing remarks, Modi said, “BJP-Mahayuti ahe, tar gati ahe, Maharashtrachi pragati ahe”, emphasizing that with the Mahayuti alliance in power, there would be progress for Maharashtra.
