SRINAGAR, Nov 4: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced on Monday that his administration will guarantee 200 units of free electricity for the residents of the Union Territory. While addressing the assembly, Sinha mentioned that the modalities for implementing this initiative are currently being developed.

The announcement comes in the wake of growing concerns among the people of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the potential financial burden of high electricity bills since the administration launched its ‘smart PDP’ project. Residents have expressed anxiety over how this could affect their household expenses.
