BSF Chief Nitin Agrawal Reviews Troop Readiness Along Jammu International Border

BSF Director General Nitin Agrawal conducted a comprehensive review of the operational preparedness of troops deployed along the International Border in the Jammu sector, as part of his two-day visit to the region.

Agrawal, who arrived in Jammu on Saturday, assessed the security situation in the area alongside Special Director General BSF, Western Command, Y B Khurania, and Inspector General BSF, Jammu Frontier, D K Boora. The visit included a joint security review meeting chaired by Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi, with participation from heads of other paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies, focusing on recent escalations in terrorist activities and cross-border infiltration.

During his stay, Agrawal also met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss counter-terrorism operations. On Sunday, he personally inspected the operational readiness of troops stationed along the Jammu border area, engaging in discussions with unit commandants regarding strategic operational aspects.

Prior to these assessments, Khurania, Boora, and other senior officers provided Agrawal with briefings on the current security landscape upon his arrival in Jammu. The IG BSF Jammu outlined crucial aspects of border security and briefed on BSF’s tactical strategies for maintaining control along the Jammu border.

Agrawal also took the opportunity to interact directly with the troops, acknowledging and commending their dedication and professionalism in safeguarding the borders under challenging conditions.
