Union Home Minister Amit Shah Reviews National Security Strategy

JAMMU, July 19 – Today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah conducted a comprehensive review of the internal security situation across the country, emphasizing the need for a unified approach in combating terrorism. The meeting, held in New Delhi, saw participation from heads of various security and law enforcement agencies.

In light of recent terror attacks in the Jammu region, where 10 soldiers lost their lives and several others were injured, Shah underscored the importance of synergy among agencies to dismantle terror networks and their support systems. He urged the adoption of advanced technologies such as Big Data and AI/ML-driven analytics to counter the evolving security threats effectively.

“The Multi Agency Centre (MAC) plays a crucial role in tackling security challenges,” Shah stated, emphasizing its role as a central platform for real-time intelligence sharing and prompt action by all stakeholders. He highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance the MAC’s capabilities under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shah called for greater coordination among law enforcement agencies, intelligence bodies, and last-mile responders to strengthen the country’s security apparatus. The meeting also focused on intensifying intelligence operations in Jammu and Kashmir to root out terrorism and neutralize its perpetrators.

In conclusion, Shah urged all stakeholders to bolster efforts in combating terrorism through proactive measures and swift implementation of shared intelligence inputs.
