New Delhi : External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to host the 2nd BIMSTEC Foreign Ministers’ Retreat in New Delhi on July 11-12. This gathering will provide an informal platform for BIMSTEC countries’ foreign ministers to explore enhanced cooperation across diverse sectors such as security, connectivity, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges in the Bay of Bengal region and its littoral areas. The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that the inaugural BIMSTEC Foreign Ministers’ Retreat took place in Bangkok on July 17, 2023. BIMSTEC comprises India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Myanmar, fostering collaboration across South and Southeast Asia.
