Addressing the Rajya Sabha during the debate on the motion thanking the President for her parliamentary address, Modi underscored the BJP’s commitment to the Constitution, highlighting its significance beyond its articles. He described the Constitution as a guiding beacon for governments and announced plans for a Constitution Day to promote its ethos nationwide. Modi also noted the historical significance of his government’s return to power after a decade and outlined ambitions for India’s economic rise, aiming to elevate it to the world’s third-largest economy from its current fifth position. He criticized the Congress, suggesting their governance operated on autopilot, contrasting sharply with his administration’s proactive approach.
