NEW DELHI, June 26: A Delhi court on Wednesday granted the CBI permission to formally arrest Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the alleged excise scam. Special Judge Amitabh Rawat passed the order, leading to Kejriwal’s arrest by the CBI. The application for the arrest was moved by the central investigative agency after Kejriwal was brought before the court from Tihar Central Jail. Kejriwal is already in prison due to his involvement in the excise scam money laundering case, which is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
