Huge gathering participates in 10th International Yoga Day in Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah, June 21: Hundreds of people from different walks of life reached at Lake View Resort Gatha of Jammu and Kashmir’s Bhaderwah to perform asans of Yoga to observe 10th International Yoga Day on Friday with the theme “Yoga for Self And Society”.

The event was organised by District Administration Doda in collaboration with Bhaderwah Development Authority and AYUSH Department, in which more than 2000 persons participated.

The congregation, was organized by Nodal Officer of the event Bal Krishan (who is also CEO BDA) and Dr Iftikhar Malik, Nodal Officer of Department of AYUSH.

Ex MLA Dalip Singh Parihar, Yudhvir Thakur DDC Councillor, SP Bhaderwah Vinod Sharma, BMO Bhaderwah Dr Mohd Ashraf Kuchey, Amir Rafiqi Publicity Officer BDA and others participated in the event..

CEO BDA Bal Krishan said that the aim of organising International Yoga Day in the famous tourist destination is to showcase the beauty of our Bhaderwah to attract more tourists from across the world.

“Beside spreading the message of peace, unity in diversity and to promote healthy living by adopting Yoga as way of life, we also want to spread a strong message against substance abuse,” CEO adeed.

The participants including Officers and officials of all government departments and a large number of Students also expressed their gratitude to the administration for providing them an opportunity to be a part of international Yoga day in the sireen environment of lush green tourist destination.
