New Delhi, Jun 21 – On Friday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) approached the Delhi High Court to challenge the bail granted to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the money laundering case linked to the alleged excise scam.
The ED is expected to request an urgent hearing in the high court shortly.
This move comes after a trial court’s order on Thursday, which granted bail to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader.
Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21, following the Delhi High Court’s refusal to provide him protection from arrest regarding summonses issued to him.
