Srinagar, June 12: Official sources have revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Srinagar on June 21 to participate in the International Yoga Day event. Modi is expected to lead the celebrations at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), situated on the picturesque banks of Dal Lake.
The event will mark the 10th International Yoga Day, and Modi’s presence is anticipated to underscore the significance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being. Sports personalities from Jammu and Kashmir are also expected to join the event.
Preparations for Modi’s visit are already underway, as the government gears up for his first trip to Kashmir since being sworn in for a third consecutive term as Prime Minister. Modi has been vocal about the importance of yoga, urging everyone to integrate it into their lives.
“In ten days from now, the world will mark the 10th International Day of Yoga, celebrating a timeless practice that celebrates oneness and harmony,” Modi emphasized in a recent statement. “Yoga has transcended cultural and geographical boundaries, uniting millions across the globe in the pursuit of holistic well-being.”
