New Delhi, June 12: The Congress party launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), criticizing its claims of peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir following three recent terror attacks in the region. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and spokesperson Pawan Khera condemned the attacks and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of neglecting the security concerns of the nation.
Rahul Gandhi accused PM Modi of being indifferent to the plight of families affected by the recent terror attacks, emphasizing that the country demands answers regarding the government’s failure to apprehend those plotting against it. Meanwhile, Pawan Khera questioned the silence of PM Modi on the matter and accused the BJP of making hollow claims about restoring peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Khera highlighted the rise in terror incidents in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch and criticized the Modi government’s handling of national security. He pointed out that despite claims of improving security, major terror attacks continue to occur, leading to loss of innocent lives.
The Congress leader also raised concerns about the increasing terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir and accused the Modi government of neglecting national security. Khera questioned the government’s response to the recent attacks and criticized its failure to address the security challenges effectively.
The Congress’s strong stance against the BJP’s handling of security issues in Jammu and Kashmir underscores the growing concerns about the region’s stability and the need for a robust strategy to combat terrorism effectively.
