Jammu, June 6: Ravinder Raina, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir, commended Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for his dedicated efforts towards the prosperity of the Union Territory.
Raina’s remarks were made in response to a post by National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah, where he criticized Sinha’s performance, alleging failure and undermining of the BJP in Ghazipur, Sinha’s home constituency.
Speaking to reporters, Raina stated, “Political remarks are part of politics. However, Omar Abdullah is aware that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ushered in a new era of development and happiness in Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring rights for all, including marginalized sections. This has led to record polling in the Lok Sabha elections.”
Raina highlighted the challenging times faced by Jammu and Kashmir in the past, including strikes, shutdowns, and violence, contrasting it with the current atmosphere of peace, progress, and development.
He credited the security forces, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for ensuring incident-free Lok Sabha polls in the region. Raina also expressed gratitude towards Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for his role in fostering peace and progress.
“In the upcoming elections, we hope for honest and nationalistic leadership to emerge victorious, rejecting divisive politics,” Raina asserted.
