New Delhi, Jun 5 : On World Environment Day, President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the profound impact of climate change on lives and livelihoods, particularly in vulnerable communities. She called for collective efforts to create a better and greener world grounded in sustainability.
In a post on X, President Murmu stated, “Protecting Mother Earth is everyone’s fundamental responsibility. We are trustees, not owners, of natural resources. Climate change is affecting lives and livelihoods, especially in vulnerable communities. Let us make collective efforts to build a better and greener world based on sustainability.”
World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5.
