Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Claims Surplus Ration Sales Amidst Lowest Food Inflation Rates at Bihar Rally**

KARAKAT, Bihar, May 29 – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made significant claims during an election rally in Karakat Lok Sabha constituency, Bihar, on Wednesday. Singh asserted that under the free ration scheme, people were receiving more foodgrains than they could consume, leading them to sell the surplus in the market.

Addressing the crowd, Singh highlighted the low food inflation rate in India, which he claimed to be the lowest in the world at 2.91%. He challenged the Congress and its Bihar ally RJD to counter him on these facts, expressing his readiness to admit any mistake if proven wrong.

Singh also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that India’s stature had significantly improved under his rule. He emphasized India’s enhanced security posture, citing instances such as Pakistan’s reluctance to send terrorists and the successful negotiation between Russia and Ukraine for the safe return of Indian students.

Furthermore, Singh commended the government’s decisions, including the scrapping of Article 370 and the enactment of a law against triple talaq, asserting the government’s commitment to safeguarding the honor of women.

In a bid to rally support for the upcoming elections, Singh promised greater welfare measures under the Modi government, including potential eligibility for free medical treatment under the Ayushman scheme for individuals over 70 years old.

Singh also extended his support to Upendra Kushwaha, the Rashtriya Lok Morcha president and NDA candidate from Karakat, praising the allocation of the gas cylinder symbol and hinting at further distributions in the future.
