CONGRESS CONDEMNS BJP OVER DALIT WOMAN’S DEATH IN MADHYA PRADESH

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the tragic death of a Dalit woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. Alleging a breakdown of the rule of law under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance, Gandhi expressed anguish and pledged to create a system where even the weakest individual can raise their voice against oppression.

The woman, who had filed a case last August alleging the beating death of her Dalit brother, died tragically on Sunday after falling from an ambulance carrying her uncle’s body. Her uncle, Rajendra Ahirwar, was reportedly beaten to death on Saturday night over an old enmity.

In a social media post, Gandhi condemned the BJP’s handling of the situation, stating that the government consistently sides with the perpetrators instead of supporting victimized women. He emphasized the need to establish a justice system where everyone, regardless of their social standing, can seek redress against oppression.

Echoing Gandhi’s sentiments, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also criticized the Modi government for its alleged failure to protect the rights and dignity of women, Dalits, tribals, and other marginalized groups. She highlighted a pattern of injustices against women across various incidents, asserting that the women of the country will not remain silent in the face of such atrocities.

The incident has sparked outrage and renewed calls for justice, with Congress leaders demanding accountability and swift action against those responsible. The tragic episode underscores the urgent need for systemic reforms to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens, especially vulnerable communities like Dalits and women, in Madhya Pradesh and beyond.
