SHIMLA, May 25: Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a resolute message on Saturday, reaffirming India’s sovereignty over Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) and asserting the nation’s determination to reclaim the territory.
Addressing a rally in Amb, Una district, in support of BJP candidate Anurag Thakur, Shah dismissed Congress’s attempts to instill fear by referencing Pakistan’s possession of atom bombs.
“The Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK) hamara hai, hamara rahega aur hum ise lekar rahenge (PoJK is ours and it will remain ours. We will take it),” Shah declared, underscoring India’s unwavering stance on territorial integrity.
Shah expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, highlighting the BJP’s strong performance in the initial phases of the Lok Sabha polls. He assured supporters that the party’s electoral momentum would culminate in achieving the ambitious target of ‘400-paar’ seats, while minimizing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s projected seat count to a mere 40.
In a playful jab at Congress, Shah engaged the rally attendees, questioning who would assume the prime ministerial role if the grand old party were to ascend to power.
The Home Minister also urged voters to propel the BJP to victory in the upcoming six assembly seat by-polls, emphasizing the importance of securing a BJP government in the state to realize the party’s electoral objectives and secure the ‘400-paar’ milestone.
As the political rhetoric intensifies in the lead-up to the final phases of polling, Shah’s unequivocal assertions underscore the BJP’s steadfast commitment to national security and territorial integrity, while also aiming to galvanize support for the party’s electoral endeavors in Himachal Pradesh and beyond.
