Modi Criticizes Congress for Sam Pitroda’s “Skin Colour” Comments, Targets Rahul Gandhi

WARANGAL (TELANGANA), May 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress regarding the reported comments made by party leader Sam Pitroda about skin colour, asserting that such insults based on skin colour would not be tolerated by the nation.

Taking aim at top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Modi alleged that the national party sought to defeat President Droupadi Murmu in the presidential poll due to her “dark skin colour”.

As Pitroda’s remarks sparked controversy, Modi questioned, “Will people’s capabilities be judged in my country based on skin colour?” He also criticized Rahul Gandhi, asking who gave him permission to play the “skin colour” game.

Expressing his anger over Pitroda’s reported comments, Modi emphasized that insults of this nature filled him with indignation. He questioned whether those who flaunt the Constitution during election rallies are demeaning fellow citizens based on skin colour.

Modi affirmed that India would not tolerate any affront to its citizens based on skin colour, demanding that Rahul Gandhi, or “shehzade,” provide an explanation.

Further, Modi revealed his understanding as to why Congress attempted to thwart Murmu’s victory in the presidential elections, insinuating that Pitroda’s remarks stemmed from his influence as Rahul Gandhi’s mentor and guide.

In light of Pitroda’s comments, Modi emphasized that skin colour holds no significance in India, referencing Lord Sri Krishna, whose skin colour, like that of all citizens, is revered.
