Rahul Gandhi Urges Karnataka CM to Extend Support to Victims of Prajwal Revanna

New Delhi, May 4 : In New Delhi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has penned a letter to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, calling for assistance to the victims affected by the actions of JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna.

In his letter, Gandhi criticized Revanna, an MP from Karnataka, accusing him of benefiting from immunity with the backing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Gandhi’s letter also took aim at Modi, noting a pattern of silence in the face of violence against women, highlighting the need for collective action to ensure justice for the victims.

Expressing shock over the allegations of sexual violence attributed to Revanna, Gandhi emphasized the importance of punishing those responsible for such heinous crimes.

The former Congress chief further criticized the ruling BJP leadership for allegedly ignoring earlier warnings about Revanna’s history of sexual violence and facilitating his evasion from India.

Gandhi concluded by affirming the Congress party’s commitment to seeking justice for the victims and highlighted efforts by the Karnataka government to investigate the allegations, including the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a request to cancel Revanna’s diplomatic passport.

Revanna, a JD(S) MLA from Holenarasipura and son of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, is facing accusations of sexual misconduct.
