Baramulla, May 2: Omar Abdullah, Vice President of the National Conference and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, submitted his nomination papers for the Baramulla Lok Sabha seat on Thursday.
Accompanied by senior party leaders and functionaries, Omar filed his nomination papers before the Returning Officer for the Baramulla Lok Sabha seat, Minga Sherpa. The ceremony witnessed a display of solidarity from supporters, highlighting Omar’s prominent political stature in Jammu and Kashmir and strong influence in the region.
Expressing confidence, Omar stated that he anticipates winning the seat with a significant majority.
It’s noteworthy that a total of 11 candidates, including prominent figures like Sajad Gani Lone of the People’s Conference and Er Rashid, have filed their nomination papers for the electoral contest in Baramulla.
