Union Home Minister Amit Shah reaffirms BJP’s commitment to nationwide implementation of Uniform Civil Code upon regaining power. In a media address, Shah rejects the accommodation of personal laws like the Muslim Personal Law Board, stressing the imperative of enacting the Uniform Civil Code.

He criticizes Congress’ reservation policies, condemning religious-based allocations. Shah accuses Congress of reallocating reservations from OBCs to Muslims, citing the swift implementation of a 4% job reservation for Muslims in Karnataka after coming to power. He clarifies BJP’s support for reservations for SCs, STs, and OBCs.

Addressing the sexual harassment case involving JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna, Shah asserts BJP’s unwavering commitment to women empowerment, demanding stringent action against the perpetrator and blaming the Congress-led Karnataka government for inaction.

Expressing confidence in BJP’s electoral prospects, Shah predicts a landslide victory with over 400 seats, citing widespread support across states. He dismisses Congress’s attempts to spread false narratives, particularly regarding alleged constitutional changes under a BJP-led government, labeling such claims as baseless fear-mongering.

Shah highlights BJP’s decisive mandates in 2014 and 2019, enabling significant legislative reforms like the abrogation of Article 370 and the banning of triple talaq. Additionally, he holds a roadshow in Guwahati to bolster support for the party’s Lok Sabha candidate.
