Guwahati, April 30: Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused the Congress of spreading falsehoods regarding the BJP’s alleged intentions to alter the constitution and abolish reservations if it secures a third term in power. Shah also expressed confidence in the BJP’s trajectory towards achieving over 400 Lok Sabha seats, buoyed by the support of the people.

Addressing a press conference, Shah refuted the claims made by the Congress about the BJP’s purported agenda to amend the constitution and terminate reservations. “We view voters without the lens of minority or majority; the BJP is poised to secure 12 out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam,” he stated.

Furthermore, Shah emphasized the BJP’s stance against religious-based reservations, affirming their commitment to implementing the Uniform Civil Code nationwide. He underscored that the party has been receiving positive responses from voters in the southern states as well.
