New Delhi, April 19 : AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh reiterated his party’s accusation of a deep conspiracy against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, warning of potential harm to him while in prison. Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Singh alleged that the BJP’s tactics could potentially lead to extreme measures, including harm or even death. The BJP has yet to respond to Singh’s allegations. Singh also criticized BJP leaders for mocking Kejriwal’s ailment and denounced what he termed as “misleading” reports about the Delhi Chief Minister circulating in the media. Questioning the dissemination of health-related information about an inmate, Singh pointed to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) allegedly publicizing a fake diet chart of Kejriwal in the media. There has been no immediate response from the Enforcement Directorate regarding Singh’s allegations. Singh, however, expressed confidence that Kejriwal would remain steadfast. Delhi Cabinet minister Atishi had earlier accused authorities of plotting to harm Kejriwal while in custody by depriving him of home-cooked food and insulin, allegations refuted by prison authorities. These allegations surfaced after the ED claimed in court that Kejriwal, despite having type 2 diabetes, was consuming high-sugar foods daily, potentially as grounds for medical bail or transfer to a hospital.
