Jammu and Kashmir Department of Education Withdraws Recognition from Budgam School Due to Management’s “Anarchist, Rebellious Attitude”

Srinagar, Mar 30: A private school in Budgam district has lost its recognition due to what authorities describe as an “anarchist and rebellious attitude” exhibited by its management.

In an official order, the Directorate of School Education (DoE) announced the withdrawal of recognition previously granted to Foundation World Mammat Budgam, a decision originally made on November 23, 2021.

The order cited the formation of an inquiry committee by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Budgam to investigate various complaints against the school. However, during the inquiry process, the school management allegedly kept the committee, along with the CEO, waiting from 10 am to 5:30 pm on February 24.

Additionally, the CEO reported that the school provided substandard documents without proper seals and signatures, hindering the committee’s ability to ascertain the factual position due to the lack of cooperation from the management.

Furthermore, the order highlighted the school’s failure to collaborate with departmental representatives and its reluctance to implement suggested measures, a mandatory requirement as per established norms.

The CEO, along with other departmental officials, recommended strict action against Foundation World School, Mamat, Budgam, citing a consistent pattern of non-compliance with directives from competent authorities.

The order emphasized the management’s repeated disregard for instructions, characterizing their behavior as reflecting an “anarchist and rebellious attitude.” The DoE deemed the school’s conduct highly objectionable and underscored the need for immediate action against the institution due to its persistent non-compliance.
