Zulfikar Ali Mumtaz appointed as BJP’s Minority Morcha Vice President of J&K unit

Jammu, March 23: To strengthen the party in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri, the BJP on Saturday appointed Mr. Zulfikar Ali Mumtaz as vice president of the Minority Morch of the BJP, J&K UT unit.
According to an order issued by the president of the J&K unit of BJP, Mr. Ravinder Raina, Mr Mumtaz has been appointed as vice-president of the Minority Morcha with immediate effect.
Mr. Ravinder Raina with the consultation of Mr. Ashok Koul, general secretary (organization) appointed Mr. Mumtaz on this important post.
A native of the Mendhar area of Poonch district, Mr. Mumtaz belongs to the prominent political family of the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri. He is a popular leader among people in the Poonch district in general and the Mendhar area in particular.
Apart from his association with the BJP, Mr. Mumtaz was very active in the campaign to grant Scheduled Tribe status to the Pahari Ethnic Community.
Expressing his gratitude to the party leadership for giving him such an important responsibility, Mr. Mumtaz assured that he will work with dedication and commitment to strengthen the party in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
