New Delhi, March 15: The Election Commission is set to announce the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday. According to a post on X by the poll panel, a press conference is scheduled to take place at 3 pm on Saturday to disclose the timetable for the Lok Sabha elections and certain state assemblies.
The present term of the Lok Sabha is due to end on June 16, necessitating the formation of a new House before that. During the previous elections, the Lok Sabha polls were announced on March 10 and conducted in seven phases starting from April 11. Vote counting took place on May 23.
