Jammu, March 2: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha graced the ‘Herath Milan Samaroh’ organized by the ‘Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj’ in Jammu today. The Lt Governor conveyed his greetings to the attendees and commended the ‘Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj’ for their two-decade-long commitment to the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He acknowledged their efforts in reconnecting future generations of the Kashmiri community with their cultural roots.
Highlighting the UT Administration’s dedication to ‘Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi’ (Development and Heritage), the Lt Governor emphasized the government’s commitment to holistic progress. He extended warm wishes for Mahashivratri, known as ‘Herath’ in the Kashmiri Pandit community, emphasizing its significance in our cultural and spiritual heritage. He expressed hopes that the festival would bring happiness, prosperity, and well-being to all.
During the event, Lt Governor Sinha honored Dr. B N Thusoo and Advocate Sunil Sethi with the Gash Taruk Award 2024. R K Bhat, President of the Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj, along with organization members and distinguished citizens from various domains, were also in attendance.
