Srinagar, February 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference officially declared its president, Sajad Gani Lone, as the Lok Sabha candidate for north Kashmir on Monday.
In a statement released to the news agency, party General Secretary Imran Reza Ansari revealed that the decision was reached following extensive discussions with party leaders and workers over the past two weeks. Ansari expressed great pleasure in announcing that Sajad Lone had accepted the party’s demand and would be the official candidate for the Baramulla Parliamentary seat.
He highlighted that the party’s leadership extends its best wishes to Sajad Lone and believes that he will deliver impassioned speeches on the floor of the Parliament, advocating the just causes of the people, ending a prolonged wait of seven decades.
