Srinagar : In Srinagar on February 22nd, tragedy struck as an avalanche hit the ski slopes of Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir, claiming the life of one foreigner while another remains missing, according to officials. Five skiers were successfully rescued and are currently receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital. The avalanche struck the Kongdoori slopes, trapping multiple skiers, with the foreigners reportedly venturing onto the slopes without the company of local residents. Rescue and search operations, led by personnel from the Army and a patrolling team from the Jammu and Kashmir administration, are currently underway.
