New Delhi, January 27 – On Saturday, the national capital experienced a minimum temperature of 4.3 degrees Celsius, marking a deviation of four notches below the seasonal average, as reported by the India Meteorological Department. The city grappled with severe air pollution, registering an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 402 in the ‘severe’ category at 9 am, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board.
The AQI scale categorizes levels from ‘good’ (0-50) to ‘severe’ (401-500). Presently, Delhi’s air quality falls within the ‘severe’ range.
The India Meteorological Department anticipates mainly clear skies throughout the day, with the maximum temperature expected to hover around 22 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels were recorded at 97 percent at 8:30 am.
